about this poster

Himeji Castle and cherry blossoms poster

Resting on its stone base, the white multi-story keep of Himeji Castle in Japan rises between cherry trees in full bloom. The title “HIMEJI” accompanies this springtime poster of Japan. The brilliant whites of the walls, the soft pinks of the blossoms and the blue of the sky make up a luminous scene. The contrast between the mass of the stone and the lightness of the petals is striking, and the vertical format emphasizes the height of the keep.

A Japanese spring for the bedroom or living room

Vertical and gentle, it hangs well in a bedroom, living room, entryway or office. Its pinks and whites go with light wood, rice paper, ceramics, linen and bonsai. In a pared-back interior, it adds a touch of color without weighing down the wall. You can pair it with other posters of Japan or cherry blossoms. It makes an easy gift for a Japan lover, a traveler back from Himeji or a student of Japanese.

Choosing the size and the spot
